Active Piqua Cyclovia

Cyclovia (also referred to as Ciclovia or Open Streets) is based on the Spanish word for “cycle path”. During Cyclovia, major city streets are temporarily closed to traffic and converted into safe and open, car-free environments for families to run, bike, skate, play and participate in fun, free activities.

The practice has become a worldwide phenomenon reaching Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, New Zeland, Peru, Israel, India and dozens of cities across the United States. Cyclovia is a celebration of physical activity, healthy movement, and active transportation.

I served as the lead Graphic Designer for the May 2015 Active Piqua Cyclovia. My tasks included the creation of the event logo, poster and rack card. I also participated in the event as a contributing photographer.
